Passengers from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland will be able to book directly on to British Airways’ global network at Heathrow, Gatwick and London City Airport from 1 September after the airline signed a new codeshare deal with Loganair.
Loganair begins operating as an independent airline on that date and the agreement means passengers will be able to connect to BA domestic services at Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, flying on a “through ticket”.
This gives them the facility to check in hold baggage at their departure airport straight through to the 200-plus destinations on the BA world map.
New Loganair services to and from Manchester are also included in the partnership, enabling passengers to take advantage of new connections from points including Glasgow, Inverness and Norwich on to the growing family of BA services there.
